The Process
Here is what you can expect once you join the program, and what we do to help ensure a meaningful and safe connection to a local sponsor family.
1. intake forms
These help us understand the key attributes of all student and family participants, and give us a foundation for successful matching.
2. Family vetting
Every family requires a background check, two references, and a family letter about who they are and their motives for joining this program.
3. Training
This helps equip you and the families with guardrails and best practices to help you both maximize the sponsor family experience.
4. Smart Matching
Our smart matching algorithm considers general interests, matching preferences, and deal breakers to provide the best possible match while keeping program integrity.
The Cost
The program fee is a one-time payment that covers your entire college career at your current school. In the rare event of a family switch, there is no extra charge. A new fee applies if you transfer and want to participate in the program and your new institution.
